Community Involvement

As essential to doing business in a community is giving back to it. Each of our principals and their families contribute countless volunteer hours to work with service organizations, with youth, with their respective church affiliations and to assist those in need.

Sonny and his wife, Ann, have been involved in the YWCA, YMCA, El Paso Symphony Orchestra Association, National Conference and Junior League of El Paso.  Sonny's involvement and assignments with the Rotary Club have taken them to 34 countries as an International Director, Foundation Trustee and spokesman for the worldwide organization. Ann’s efforts have included raising funds and support for the construction of the largest Equestrian Statue in the world located at the El Paso International Airport. Sonny’s continuing involvement is in youth and adult leadership training programs sponsored by the Rotary Club.

Adin and Christi have had a long term involvement and leadership role with the Bible Study Fellowship program in El Paso. Adin serves as an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church and as a long term member of the Rotary Club of El Paso. Their support for youth includes their involvement with youth tennis and swimming programs and the support of the Coronado high school orchestra program. They also are active supporters of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life programs.

Will and Katherine’s community efforts have included work with the Sunrise Rotary Club, The Sunturians Organization and the St. Clements Episcopal Parish School and Church. They have been heavily involved in service on the school Board of Trustees and Parent Council, coaching girls basketball teams and helping to develop a new school web site (www.stclements.org ). Both have served as leaders of numerous youth outdoor education trips with the school. All members of their family have gone across to the border to Juarez, Mexico were they have worked with Casas por Cristo to help to build homes for families and to build a playground at an orphanage.
